Combatives for Gunmen

H2H4CCW is a hand to hand fighting
curriculum designed for the civilian operator. We understand the need to
bridge the gaps between our gun skills, knife study, tactics,
vehicle operation, medical training, and our daily needs to provide
security for loved ones, etc. This class is an entry to the 'hands on' element of the equation. Often the case
with traditional martial arts, being a practitioner is a
long term endeavor into a discipline that doesn't
always address all the possibilities of the street fight in the
most efficient manor, or it is of a very complex nature requiring years
of study to perfect. Although a fruitful path, it may not equip you for
tonight! Alternatively, 'Self defense classes' are
often police based, overly liability reducing in nature, attempts to
teach the student control and compliance techniques that are more
suitable for handcuffing and custody, than
dealing with a drug crazed attacker on the hunt for what belongs to you .
That is not the mission of the private citizen and tends to increase
the danger level exponentially when attempted.
H2H4CCW was designed to
arm the civilian operator in a relatively short duration with the
knowledge and skills to deliver immediate,
debilitating injury to an aggressor(s) , thwarting the initial attack,
and opening the gate to access weapons and facilitate opportunity to
escape. It is not an attemp at replacing years of
dedication in the fighting arts- It is an effective first step in
keeping you alive in an extremely focused crash course in violence, that
draws on a broad base of practices, with out the 'not invented here'
attitude so common in the various 'arts'.
Areas of study
will include situational awareness, controlling
distance, parasympathetic nervous system
responses to stress in combat(fight/flight) and how it effects your performance, managing and maintaining your ability to
stay effective in the fight, and maximizing your potential as a warrior
prior to the engagement. Skills focused on the standing grapple,
chokes, and grabs, managing falls, fighting on the ground and regaining
your feet will be explored in detail. Low line kicks and kneeing as well
as elbow and hand strikes will be taught. Students will learn solid
techniques to retain their own pistol and how to disarm the adversary of
their weapon. Alternative force measures,
contact weapons, proactive applications (assailant/sentry removal), and
hostage situations will be examined. Weapon access, breaking contact and
withdrawing, as well as providing protection for those you are
responsible for will be stressed throughout. Maintaining the skills over
the long term, building onto your fighting platform, and solo training
will be addressed.
This is the eye gouging, joint crushing, spine
compressing, material you need to keep you and yours safe in an often
untamed world. You will be able to walk as a lion with the confidence in
your hand to hand ability with this training.
***
A healthy physical fitness level is encouraged to allow for the most
success, however the curriculum is suitable for all ages, shapes, and
sizes, and the skills are not dependent on being six foot seven and
300lbs. Women, college students, and the 'seasoned' operator are
encouraged to attend . (Consult with a medical doctor prior to engaging
in this or any activity of a physical nature.) You and you alone will be
your own 'measuring stick' and can progress through the material at a
pace suitable.
