I was born and raised in the north of Germany. After receiving my Master’s degree in education with a double major in English and chemistry from the University of Osnabrueck, I moved to the U.S.

Firearms were not part of my home life in Germany. It was through my studies at college, living in the U.S. as well as through my husband and several others, including T. J. Johnson and Gabe Suarez that I came to understand the profound meaning of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and the importance of women being involved in firearms training and self defense.

In Germany there is no Second Amendment and private ownership of guns is highly regulated and nearly impossible. After several of my close family members suffered violent attacks I swore I would not be another victim and would do everything in my power to prevent that. Taking self-defense classes as well as several shooting classes is a great way for any female to be more prepared.

I hope I can touch women’s lives and help them to become better prepared and have a mindset on how not to be a victim.

I have taken numerous courses at various firearms training facilities but found a real resonance with Suarez International after training privately with Gabe Suarez. I have attended over a dozen Suarez International courses and instruct Women Only courses for Suarez International as well as mixed courses together with my husband Richard.
