Jon is one of our Staff Instructors from the State of Texas and has served in the police and corrections fields since 2000. Prior to serving in civilian law enforcement, he served in the US Air Force and the US Air Force Reserves for 15 years as a Combat Arms Instructor as well as a Security Forces member.

Jon is currently serving as a reserve Deputy Constable and a part-time Patrolman for a small municipality. When Jon is not patrolling or teaching for Suarez International he teaches the Texas Concealed Handgun License class.

Jon enjoys all facets of firearms, edged weapons , and martial arts training; he is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and currently trains in Gracie Jujitsu. Jon began training with Suarez International in 2009 and now teaches most of the Suarez International curriculum to include: Close Range Gunfighting, Force on Force Gunfighting, 0-5 Feet: Pistol Gunfighting and Kalashnikov Rifle Gunfighting to name a few. As a traveling instructor Jon is dedicated to providing the highest quality instruction and skill sets to his students.
