Firearms have always been a part of my life from learning to shoot and hunt as a young boy to a stint in the US Army and then a career in law enforcement. I’ve been a firearms and use of force instructor since 1993 and teach Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle, Tactical Firearms and Colorado Concealed Carry classes. I’ve attended several firearms schools and have instructor certifications from the NRA, Smith & Wesson and Glock.

In 2009 I took my first class with Suarez International and found the training realistic, applicable and crossing well beyond the boundaries of the modern technique. Because I believe in Gabe’s training, principles and goals I sought to become an instructor and joined the SI staff in 2010.

One of my instructors told me years ago that he loved teaching and would continue until he no longer did and then he’d move on to do something else. I still have that passion and my goal is not only to teach people to shoot, but to teach them to be disciplined and deadly confident in their abilities to defend themselves.

I live in the high desert of Southwest Colorado and am always ready to travel to teach or learn.
