High Risk Operator - Small Unit Team Tactics I & II
Anaconda, Montana
Instructor: Eric Pfleger
This class is the first class in our HRO package and deals with learning how to operate in two shooter teams and covers, Modified Small Unit Tactics, Moving as a Team, Immediate Action Drills, Counter Ambush Drills, and other things commonly taught to special units. You will learn the material via small lectures, dry and live fire work, and extended fire drills. To our knowledge, this material has never been taught outside of professional government funded schools.
This is the four day material in a compressed three day format. In addition to this usual material, we will work on vehicle drills, and some movement to contact, and ambush-counter ambush work. We have a huge area to work with and the vastness of terrain exceeds what we have worked with before. Take a long look at the photos we have added. This is a great learning class and one of the most fun training sessions we do all year.
This will be physicially challenging class and will involve carrying your gear and weapons all day long, as well as require short sprints, dropping into position and getting back on your feet quickly. Be sure you have a reliable rifle, and understand how to use it bilaterally (both right and left sides). Be sure you can execute a reload on the move and retain the magazine with you.
In short -
1. Be in good enough shape to carry all your gear all day long
2. Know safety, marksmanship and reflexive gunhandling
3. Take care of yourself-all the little things like hydration and the little ouchies we all succumb to from time to time.
