ALL PROCEEDS OF THIS CLASS WILL GO TO BENEFIT THE CHAMBERS FAMILY. LORD WILLING HE WILL MAKE IT TO CLASS! THE TRIBE IS WITH YOU BROTHER! Gabe, Greg, and Sua have graciously stepped in for John to make this an event to be remembered!
In this class participants will be exposed to and practice some of
the basic elements of small unit patrolling tactics in a rural
environment.
IMPORTANT - PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN GOOD ENOUGH
PHYSICAL CONDITION FOR TWO DAYS OF CONTINUOUS MOVEMENT WITH A FULL
INDIVIDUAL LOAD OF EQUIPMENT TOTALING NOT LESS THAN 30 LBS. RAIN OR
SHINE, HOT OR COLD.
Some of the topics covered:
- Mission planning, defining your mission(s)
- Individual equipment selection
- Camouflage techniques
- Pre-combat inspections
- Hand and arm signals
- Other various communications methods
- Traveling methods (overview)
- Crossing danger areas
- Security halts
- Rally points
- Hasty defensive positions
This class is the first class in our HRO package and deals with
learning how to operate in two shooter teams and covers, Modified Small
Unit Tactics, Moving as a Team, Immediate Action Drills, Counter Ambush
Drills, and other things commonly taught to special units. You will
learn the material via small lectures, dry and live fire work, and
extended fire drills. To our knowledge, this material has never been
taught outside of professional government funded schools.
This is the four day material in a compressed three day format. In
addition to this usual material, we will work on vehicle drills, and
some movement to contact, and ambush-counter ambush work. We have a huge
area to work with and the vastness of terrain exceeds what we have
worked with before. Take a long look at the photos we have added. This
is a great learning class and one of the most fun training sessions we
do all year.
This will be physically challenging class and will involve
carrying your gear and weapons all day long, as well as require short
sprints, dropping into position and getting back on your feet quickly.
Be sure you have a reliable rifle, and understand how to use it
bilaterally (both right and left sides). Be sure you can execute a
reload on the move and retain the magazine with you.
In short -
1. Be in good enough shape to carry all your gear all day long
2. Know safety, marksmanship and reflexive gunhandling
3. Take care of yourself-all the little things like hydration and the little ouchies we all succumb to from time to time.
NOTE: This class is presented for lawful information purposes
only and without any intent that the material will be used by anyone
for unlawful purposes.
