Matthew Sweeney is a lifelong Alaskan who lives in Palmer Alaska. He is a NRA Certified RSO and works at a local shooting range. He has been shooting firearms since the age of 5. Always striving to become better, he began training with SI. He realized quickly that there is no better organization than SI for reality based training that prepares you for the fight.

When he is not at work or training he can be found hiking mountains, hunting animals, fishing in a stream, or pounding weights at the gym. He believes that fitness and a healthy lifestyle go hand in hand with training to become the best warrior you can be. It does no good to be an expert marksmen if you cannot sprint 50 yards to your car without needing an ambulance.

His goal with each class is to focus on teaching what each student needs to learn to prevail in a fight. It is not about looking cool or flashy, it is about winning the fight.
